Krishnachura: A Center for Gender Minorities Rights
We believe trans existence is not only an identity—it is a revolution.
Krishnachura is Bangladesh’s first gender minorities–led think tank and movement space. We work exclusively with and for non-cis individuals—including transgender, hijra, intersex, non-binary, and gender-diverse communities.
Our work centers those whose gender itself is politicized, criminalized, medicalized, and erased.

Krishnachura was not born from comfort. It emerged from risk, care, and refusal to disappear. As a transgender and queer public health professional and human rights defender, Ho Chi Minh Islam works at the intersection of lived experience, research, and movement-building.
Krishnachura is a promise—to ensure that gender minorities are not reduced to footnotes, but recognized as authors of knowledge and culture.
